The Forgiveness We Needed

In the book of Matthew chapter 27 is probably one of the greatest stories told. It's the story of how Jesus did what He was called to do, died on the cross for our sins, so we could live in Heaven forever with Him. You see, back beore Jesus died, we could not just pray and be forgiven. We had to sacrifice an animal and then be forgiven. There was a veil and only the preist could go there to forgive your sins. You probably think that it would be weird and yes it was quite different. Jesus went throu so much pain while dying on the cross...He had to have one nail in His feet and His arms pierced with nails as well. When Jesus died, He gave up His spirit and when He did that, there was an aftershock. You know how when there is an earthquake there are usually atershocks? Well it was kinda like that with Jesus's death. After He died, there earth split from an earthquake, and the veil in the temple was torn. The veil was torn from the top which means that it was only God that could do that. That meant that God was allowing man to ask forgiveness for Himslef...not the priest doing it...that God wanted man to have a personal relastionship with Him. This is a story, as I said, that is most important to a Christian...it is a story about Jesus's deatha dn the forgiveness we all needed!

United We Stand Divided We Fall

God tells us to surround ourselfs with people who love Christ. A certain fable tells of cattle that went into the fields to graze. They spread out among the field. Then a lion came and ate all of them one by one. Why do you think they all got eaten by one lion? They all got eaten because they all divided and did not stand as one. In the fable it stays that the cattle tried to defend themselfs with there horns but were not equiped enough. What in your life is represented by the horns? Its the bible, and the lion is represented as saitin. We on our own need to be well equiped with gods' word. If not we will be divowered by saitin and his demons. You also need to equip your self with Gods' word so that your friends and you can stand up to saitin and fight him using your spiritually armor. Are you equiping yourself with Gods' word? Next time Satin attacks you or your friend will you be ready?

One of friends said that he noticed himself praying to himself and then he states that he is God and that he is almighty. NOOOOO. My dad replied before I could but he said NOOO. And that no human is God. My dad started to pound on this guys door for saying this. I felt really bad for him that he would even think that. There is only one God and Karl is not God. A whole bunch of people commented on what Karl said and it turns out that more people agreed with him then disagreed. That is what really through me head over heals. God said in the bible that there is only one God. Umm He was right!!!! If you ever hear one of your friends say that they are God they really need some talking to them, and you have to be the one to talk to them. Are you going to do it? Will you stand up to your faith and what you believe in?

Minimizing Space
Is your room full of disrespectful stuff? Well the other day I was cleaning out my room and found a bunch of wizard stuff in boxes. Apparently I used to think i was a witch sometimes and run around zapping people. That really was not a Godly thing to do but I did not know better...:) Ashley

Now you may ask what is soooo wrong with this prayer. Asking God for His will and then asking Him for yours is wrong because God's will for your life is perfect. God designed your life and has a whole plan for it...you changing that doesn't work out the way God wants it too...and daddy knows best! Even though sometimes we cant see how something the complete opposite of what you want is best for your life, we have to remember that God sees everything. He know the future, my way and His way. He knows if you will fail or succeed Also, when you ask God for His will and your will it is kind of like saying you don't trust God cause you think your plan is better than His. Just put faith in God and always trust in Him. 1John 2:17

Why Me God?

Have you ever had something bad happen and ask God why He did that to you? He loves you more than words can explain and you should always know that. I know its hard to keep that in mind when something bad happens, no matter what its effect. We often blame God for not making us do the right thing, but that is not what God does. Its amazing, God lets us make our own decisions. (He will often let us make a bad choice so that we learn from it. Or so it seems.) Thats how much He loves us, He cares about us so He lets us make our own decisions. Why do we blame God for our mistakes? We are human but cant use that as an excuse. God will also put us in a situation in which we dont like but He will put us in the end at a better place spiritually. He loves you to much to not give you a challenge. By becoming a Christain you might not have knew what you were getting into. If you look at it the same way I do then, you will see a fork in the road one marked anti-God the other marked Christianity. The anti-God road is flat and wide and runs through flower beds, but it ends at a giant ,elegant, black door. The road marked Christianity is thin, made of dirt, right on the side of a cliff, rocky and up hill, but at the end there is a gigantic golden bright gate. The giant, black, elegant door ends up in eternal death and suffering. The other road marked Christianity with the golden gate puts you with God. The road to God is much harder to travel upon then the road to death. When God puts a bad thing in your life He is just challenging you, to see if you will stand beside Him. If your looking for an example for the extreme challenges God has in store for you in the future I highly recommend that you read Genesis 22. Its really amazing how much Abraham trusted God. We can all do this, we can trust in Him, just like Abraham did.

Breaking it Down

So to be a Christian, you have got to be able to forgive because people around you are going to make mistakes all the time, even you will fall but you may be the lucky one because you have Jesus to catch you. The Bible says...
"If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.''
Matthew 6:14-15
This verse is pretty easy to comprehen but it means if you forgive the people around you who make mistakes, then God will forgive you, but if you don't, then God won't forgive you. Pretty simple, right? Sure you may say "But what about my brother/sister! They drive me nuts all the time!''
"The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him."
Daniel 9:9
Why can't we try to be Christ like? Isn't that what we are supposed to do as Christians? The next time you and your sister or brother are fighting, just forgive your sister for taking your ipod or forgive your brother for using your new cool skateboard, you set an example for them and who knows, maybe next time they'll beat you to the punch! (for forgiving)

Salvation

This blog is for anyone, whether you don't know the Lord or you do or you are falling away from Him. The most important thing to know as a Chritian is that Jesus died on the cross for every one in the world! If you are a Christian or not! God is waiting for you in Heaven and you have to accept Him into your life for you to be apart of His kingdom. Back when the world was created by God, Adam and Eve sinned by eating from the fuit of a tree God told them not to eat, if they hadn't eaten from the tree, there would be no pain or sickness in this world. God knew that people couldn't just keep dying every time they sinned, so God sent His son, Jesus, to save His people. God died on the cross to take away all the sins, He paid what we should've paid for. Now, you may be a God person and not say bad words and be nice to your siblings, but that doesn't mean you will go to Heaven. God is the only way to enter Heaven. You may also ask, "How do I become a Christian?" All you have to do is say a pray. Tell God why you want Him in your heart He listens to you and is right there with you. The next thing you may ask is "What do I do to continue my life with Christ?" Well, to continue you walk with God, you can pick up a Bible daily and pray, go to a local Christian church and worship Him. There are lots to continue your life as a Christian. The last thing to do is spread the good news that Jesus is coming soon! Spread the word to your friends about Jesus and tell them what He is doing for your life. Now being a Chrisitan doesn't mean that you are going to have a perfect life. Your mom may die and you could blame God for doing it, but God isn't doing it to hurt you, He is testing your faith and how much you want to follow Him. Things will always turn out ok, just keep you eyes on God.

Before You Know it...You'll Be Gone

I want to start off by asking if you have Jesus in your heart? Because we are in the end days and will be in Heaven soon. We will soon stand before the Lord and the golden gates of Heaven. You have to look at your life and ask yourself if you're ready. Ready to be taken home to your Lord and Savior. You may not want to leave. You may say, "Oh i haven't gotten my first kiss yet" or "I want to buy my own house and start a family". But the truth is, we don't even know when God is coming. He could be coming tonight while we are watching T.V. or He could come in about 5 years...you never know. But you need to be prepared to leave...pack your bag because before you know it...you will be gone. In Revelations 1:10 it says "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet saying , I and the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, and what you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia" I stopped there but it's not the end of the verse, but isn't it crazy that Asia is mentioned in the Bible. Did you know that the United States is not mentioned in the Bible but Asia is! I think that's crazy and very scary! To continue on in verse 12, "Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire" Now the seven lamstands the Bible is talking about is the seven churches and the one in the middle is God...I'm going to skip down to verse 17-20 "And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches." To actually have a conversation with God. God is talking to John, well actually He is talking to John through a vision. You see, John was one of Jesus' best friends when He lived on Earth. God showed John what Heaven was going to look like. He told John that whoever believe's in Him will live with Him forever and ever

The First Murder

Imagine you, your the oldest sister. Your mom has a baby girl. As your baby sister grows up, you become very jealous of her, she might be prettier and get more attention. You are so angry and get mad at yourself, your sister, and God. You decide to kill your sister. This is the basic story of Cain and Able and the first murder in the Bible. Cain and Able were sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was the oldest son who tended the the farm (earth). Able was a sheperd for the lambs. The reason why Cain killed his brother was because of the rejection of a sacrifice. Can you believe that! It's like you offering to clean the bathroom while your sister offers to clean your mom's masterbedroom! But anyways, here is a verse to describe the offering...“And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.” (Genesis 4:3-5).

It's crazy the Cain got so angry just because God accepted Able's offering and not His. This story is a very good example of what sin can do to you. It can make you kill and want revenge. It says in the Bible that Cain came up from behind Able and killed him with a stick. After, God asked Cain where Able was. Cain replied "I don't know, am I my brother's keeper?" This verse is very harsh. Cain is basically saying "I don't know and don't care. I don't have to babysit him." Of course God knew what happened. God said

“the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.” (Genesis 4:10-12)

Cain had to leave and never come back again. This is what sin can turn into. But God is always there to help!
