Before You Know it...You'll Be Gone

August 3, 2009
I want to start off by asking if you have Jesus in your heart? Because we are in the end days and will be in Heaven soon. We will soon stand before the Lord and the golden gates of Heaven. You have to look at your life and ask yourself if you're ready. Ready to be taken home to your Lord and Savior. You may not want to leave. You may say, "Oh i haven't gotten my first kiss yet" or "I want to buy my own house and start a family". But the truth is, we don't even know when God is coming. He could be coming tonight while we are watching T.V. or He could come in about 5 years...you never know. But you need to be prepared to leave...pack your bag because before you know it...you will be gone. In Revelations 1:10 it says "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet saying , I and the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, and what you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia" I stopped there but it's not the end of the verse, but isn't it crazy that Asia is mentioned in the Bible. Did you know that the United States is not mentioned in the Bible but Asia is! I think that's crazy and very scary! To continue on in verse 12, "Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire" Now the seven lamstands the Bible is talking about is the seven churches and the one in the middle is God...I'm going to skip down to verse 17-20 "And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches." To actually have a conversation with God. God is talking to John, well actually He is talking to John through a vision. You see, John was one of Jesus' best friends when He lived on Earth. God showed John what Heaven was going to look like. He told John that whoever believe's in Him will live with Him forever and ever

The First Murder

July 26, 2009
Imagine you, your the oldest sister. Your mom has a baby girl. As your baby sister grows up, you become very jealous of her, she might be prettier and get more attention. You are so angry and get mad at yourself, your sister, and God. You decide to kill your sister. This is the basic story of Cain and Able and the first murder in the Bible. Cain and Able were sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was the oldest son who tended the the farm (earth). Able was a sheperd for the lambs. The reason why Cain killed his brother was because of the rejection of a sacrifice. Can you believe that! It's like you offering to clean the bathroom while your sister offers to clean your mom's masterbedroom! But anyways, here is a verse to describe the offering...“And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.” (Genesis 4:3-5).

It's crazy the Cain got so angry just because God accepted Able's offering and not His. This story is a very good example of what sin can do to you. It can make you kill and want revenge. It says in the Bible that Cain came up from behind Able and killed him with a stick. After, God asked Cain where Able was. Cain replied "I don't know, am I my brother's keeper?" This verse is very harsh. Cain is basically saying "I don't know and don't care. I don't have to babysit him." Of course God knew what happened. God said

“the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.” (Genesis 4:10-12)

Cain had to leave and never come back again. This is what sin can turn into. But God is always there to help!
