The Forgiveness We Needed

Posted by Ellie on Sunday, November 22, 2009, In : Salvation
In the book of Matthew chapter 27 is probably one of the greatest stories told. It's the story of how Jesus did what He was called to do, died on the cross for our sins, so we could live in Heaven forever with Him. You see, back beore Jesus died, we could not just pray and be forgiven. We had to sacrifice an animal and then be forgiven. There was a veil and only the preist could go there to forgive your sins. You probably think that it would be weird and yes it was quite different. Jesus went...

United We Stand Divided We Fall

Posted by Ashley Stinkypits on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, In : Relastionship With the Lord

God tells us to surround ourselfs with people who love Christ. A certain fable tells of cattle that went into the fields to graze. They spread out among the field. Then a lion came and ate all of them one by one. Why do you think they all got eaten by one lion? They all got eaten because they all divided and did not stand as one. In the fable it stays that the cattle tried to defend themselfs with there horns but were not equiped enough. What in your life is represented by the horns? Its the ...

Poor Karl

Posted by ASHLEY:) on Saturday, October 31, 2009, In : Sin
So I have a facebook and you can share comments on what you are doing. One of friends said that he noticed himself praying to himself and then he states that he is God and that he is almighty. NOOOOO. My dad replied before I could but he said NOOO. And that no human is God. My dad started to pound on this guys door for saying this. I felt really bad for him that he would even think that. There is only one God and Karl is not God. A whole bunch of people commented on what Karl said and it turn...

God's Will

Posted by Blog Winner Courtney on Monday, October 12, 2009, In : Relastionship With the Lord
When you pray are you asking God for HIS will or YOUR will? An example of this is would be, "God, I know what you have in store for me is best, but please make my parents let me go to the party tonight!" I must say I have caught myself doing this when I really want something. Now you may ask what is soooo wrong with this prayer. Asking God for His will and then asking Him for yours is wrong because God's will for your life is perfect. God designed your life and has a whole plan for it...you...

Why Me God?

Posted by Ashley on Monday, September 14, 2009, In : Salvation
Have you ever had something bad happen and ask God why He did that to you? He loves you more than words can explain and you should always know that. I know its hard to keep that in mind when something bad happens, no matter what its effect. We often blame God for not making us do the right thing, but that is not what God does. Its amazing, God lets us make our own decisions. (He will often let us make a bad choice so that we learn from it. Or so it seems.) Thats how much He loves us, He care...

Breaking it Down

Posted by Ellie on Thursday, September 3, 2009, In : Forgiveness/Grace
So to be a Christian, you have got to be able to forgive because people around you are going to make mistakes all the time, even you will fall but you may be the lucky one because you have Jesus to catch you. The Bible says...
"If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.''
Matthew 6:14-15
This verse is pretty easy to comprehen but it means if you forgive the people around you who mak...

Salvation

Posted by Ellie on Saturday, August 29, 2009, In : Salvation
This blog is for anyone, whether you don't know the Lord or you do or you are falling away from Him. The most important thing to know as a Chritian is that Jesus died on the cross for every one in the world! If you are a Christian or not! God is waiting for you in Heaven and you have to accept Him into your life for you to be apart of His kingdom. Back when the world was created by God, Adam and Eve sinned by eating from the fuit of a tree God told them not to eat, if they hadn't eaten from th...

Before You Know it...You'll Be Gone

Posted by Ellie on Monday, August 3, 2009, In : Salvation
I want to start off by asking if you have Jesus in your heart? Because we are in the end days and will be in Heaven soon. We will soon stand before the Lord and the golden gates of Heaven. You have to look at your life and ask yourself if you're ready. Ready to be taken home to your Lord and Savior. You may not want to leave. You may say, "Oh i haven't gotten my first kiss yet" or "I want to buy my own house and start a family". But the truth is, we don't even know when God is coming. He coul...

The First Murder

Posted by Ellie on Sunday, July 26, 2009, In : Sin
Imagine you, your the oldest sister. Your mom has a baby girl. As your baby sister grows up, you become very jealous of her, she might be prettier and get more attention. You are so angry and get mad at yourself, your sister, and God. You decide to kill your sister. This is the basic story of Cain and Able and the first murder in the Bible. Cain and Able were sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was the oldest son who tended the the farm (earth). Able was a sheperd for the lambs. The reason why Cain ki...

"Is Heaven in the Clouds Mommy?"

Posted by Ellie on Monday, July 20, 2009, In : Relastionship With the Lord

First off, I am so excited to go to Heaven. I love the place that God has created here for us but I am just so stoked to go to Heaven. I want to see Jesus and talk to people from the Bible like Job and want it was like to have Satan temping you at your very feet, or seeing Adam and Eve and asking them want the Garden of Eden was like. I want to see everything that God created. See what its like to watch a lion and a lamb to lie down together? Also seeing the great extinct dino's! And there's ...

Grace and Forgiving is Important

Posted by Ellie on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, In : Forgiveness/Grace
Grace is very important for being a Christian. Alot of times we make mistakes but we also need to forgive others. We make mistakes and must be forgived and also forgive our selves. When other people make mistakes we must have grace on them and also forgive. Let's talk about us making mistakes; first of all, we all make mistakes and that is ok but we must learn from them and  try to not make the again. Second, we must learn to forgive ourselves, we as humans are not perfect and will always fal...

Preparation

Posted by Ellie on Monday, July 6, 2009, In : Relastionship With the Lord
For the 4th of July, you and your family probably invite all your friends over for a big BBQ. You have to clean the house and pick up the back yard so everything looks good. It's kind of like Jesus preparing a place for us in Heaven. He has to fix our bedroom up and clean the backyard and etc...Not only do you have to clean up your house for 4th of July but, you have to clean up yourself. It's polite to look your best and feel your best when people are around. Same thing applys for the day wh...

The Poison

Posted by Ashley or Ellie Stinkypits on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, In : Sin
Sin-there are so many words that can go with one three lettered word. The Devil tries to turn you from God with this. It is a very nasty, little thing that can develope into something beyond words. It reminds my of Spiderman 3. Peter gets attached to this foriegn black gue. The gue appears as more powerful than his original outfit. He continues to wear the black gue till it nearly destroys Him. Kind of cheesy but it is a great example! Sin can be disguisedas something wonderful and more power...

Father In Heaven

Posted by Ellie on Monday, June 29, 2009, In : Relastionship With the Lord
God is our Father, in Heaven and on earth. He set parents on this world so our parents could help Him. Alothough may sound weird that He's our 'Dad" it's true. God created us and made us in His own image. What does your dad do that God doesn't? God protects and provides, as well as our fathers. God loves and comforts in troubled time and so does my dad. If you think about, God has given some of His triats to our dads. God is our Father, we should worship and praise Him and love Him for all He...
